Hi! I’m Arielle.

A little about me—in my old life I was a hair stylist, educator, and salon owner. In 2018, my first daughter was born, and I quickly learned that I was the only authority who had my family’s best interests at heart. I relied on herbal medicine often in those early stages of motherhood, whether it was to support my own nervous system or my daughter’s well-being. Over time, the herbal medicines that I crafted with love turned into a full-blown apothecary, now known as SubLuna Botanicals.

Over time, it became clear that my passion was no longer in working behind the chair. As an herbalist, I often spoke with my clients of their health concerns, and it no longer felt ethical to be using such strong chemicals and products with fragrance on their hair while also simultaneously trying to help them “clean” up their homes and routines with nontoxic options.

So, I quit and went virtual! Now, I get to help women all over the world free themselves from the industries that benefit from women not claiming their own autonomy, from the beauty industry that breeds insecurities and toxicity, the stylist/client power dynamics in the salon industry, and the allopathic systems that don’t seem to actually know how to truly be (and stay) well. With my guidance, women are actually healing their hair by using products they can make themselves at home with ingredients found in their garden that come straight from the earth and taking responsibility for the health of themselves and their family!

My “No Poo Method” has developed a cult following of women ditching the shampoo for good, and my course “The Wild Mother’s Medicine Chest” has allowed women from all over the world to become the healers of their families.

When I am not crafting herbal medicines and hair potions, I am splitting my time between the US and the Dominican Republic with my loving family, reading (and sometimes writing!) a good fiction novel, and enjoying good, nourishing foods.
